Texas Hold'em has moved from W. Sunrise to N. Andrews just west of the Las Olas area. Its a small house with some stools, and good music playing on a computer by the doorway. From the decorations, you can tell immediately that there ain't no redneck who owns this place. The decor is part Soul, part Mo-town.

As for the food, its good from head to toe. I'm not a big BBQ eater (being from the North and all), but this is good. The cole slaw, clearly home made, is dryish with little sugar and just enough seasoning to take the bite out of the cabbage. The MAC and cheese is baked just right. And the spare ribs; well they just fall off the bone. The sauce is the sweet, smokey kind, so you get moist, sweet and smokey ribs. The only disappointment is the white bread slices; they need to get some crustier bread. Overall, dinner with 2 sides is $10.25. Good food at a fair price.

Texas Hold'em Original Rib Dinner

They've raised their prices since our initial review; its now $11.95 for the dinner we had previously. They've also expanded their menu and have some specialty items. We tried their grilled beef stuffed pepper with blue cheese. It sounds like a pretty odd combination, but its pretty good.

Texasholdem pepper

Not exactly a low calorie snack, but the flavors of the charred pepper, smokey beef and blue cheese work together nicely. It's 6.75 and it will take about 15 minutes to make, so you may want to call ahead.
