From the outside G's Jamaican looks like a pretty nice place, but don't be fooled; G's is a dump. Its almost shocking. It looks more like a check cashing facility with 2 girls behind full length plexiglass panels. They're too busy watching TV to notice there's a customer in the store.
There's no service at G's. They have a paper menu taped on the window with no indication of what's included with the dishes. I wasn't ordering anything elaborate here, so I just asked for the Jerk Chicken. You get a choice of brown rice and beans or white rice; I ordered the fiber. It doesn't take very long for them to put it together.
Apparently you get cole slaw. The slaw is vinegar based and not terrible, but I really don't want it mixed in with the rice. They certainly give you enough. But it is a bit deceiving. There's so much skin and bones that its not as much as it looks.
This place reminds me so much of the Jerk Machine that I'm suspicious that its just a rebranding. The food is edible but an annoyance to eat. Its like the bones are chopped up and all mixed together, making it a pain to eat. There's bones and pieces of gristle that you have to pick out. Its not worth the gas to get out here if you're not driving by. If you want junky Jamaican food you can just go to Jerk Machine. And its cheaper there too.
