Word on the Street is that Ice Sculpture mogul David Berman has been bought out by his partner Alexander Podolnyy and that Tundra Restaurant is transitioning to something completely different.
Without Berman's Ice Sculptures, which never captured much interest among the Las Olas Crowd, the ill advised name of the restaurant is bound to be changing. We also have a report that they've taken the old Mediterranean Market space next door, and are essentially doubling down on a large outdoor patio type concept.
Trying to market Berman as a "celebrity" chef doomed the restaurant from the onset; we have Google now so it's not as easy to fool the masses as it once was. We have no idea what will be coming here. But it can't be much worse than Tundra.
