Critic's Review
Formally a Shell Station, Dairy queen decided to keep the gas station look for their drive through.
Everyone knows about Dairy Queen; we used to go to the DQ on Smithtown Bypass when I was a kid to get Ice Cream Sodas back in the day. One thing new is that they bought the Orange Julius brand; the whipped Orange Juice drinks that used to be in just about every Mall. A bad thing is that they don't have Ice Cream Sodas, which is ridiculous, since it's easy to make.
They don't have printed menus and I didn't research in advance, so I ordered a frozen hot chocolate, which seems about as contrived as can be. Chocolate fudge.
It was ok, but nothing I'd order again. I should have ordered one of their frozen coffee drinks to see how it measured up to Baskin Robbins. I'll know better next time.
You can get a burger or fries or a hot dog here too. Really?
