If you were wondering where everyone was on Sunday afternoon, you don't have to look any further than Duffy's in the Harbor Shops Center in Fort Lauderdale. It was difficult to find parking, which is somewhat amazing given the size of the lot in the shopping center.
There are a lot of NYers in Fort Lauderdale, and the combination of a Dolphins road game, the Jets playing at 1pm and a Giants game at 4pm created a perfect storm for Duffy's coffers.
If you didn't want to eat at the bar, and you got there early enough to get a table in the dining room, you could watch all of the games on Duffy's wall of flats screen TVs.
The reward for hanging around for the late game is that at 4pm the 2 for 1 happy hour starts. The happy hour applies to all single drinks including premium selections (not shots, pitchers or buckets). If you're drinking tap they give you a double sized mug instead of 2 beers, but if you're drinking from a bottle you'll get a personal ice bucket for your 2nd beer.
There are some noteworthy criticisms for the experience. They did a bad job cutting over to the 4pm games; at one point the Jets-Lions game was inexplicably on 2/3 of the sets; they didn't get the Giants game on in time for the 4:15 kickoff. Also, the bartenders spend more time tapping their screens then they do serving; they should work on streamlining the cash register process as it takes too long to get a drink and get your change when the place is busy.
