Turkey Feast At Duffy's

I couldn't pull the trigger on Shula's $48pp turkey dinner even if I get to write it off; I just don't see Turkey being worth that kind of dough. With Dallas/NO as the main attraction and Duffy's sporting a $12.99 all you could eat dinner, I arranged to meet a couple of other stranded folks. As I arrived there was a dude screaming that it was the worst meal he's ever had, and I had to pause. But after checking with a few other people it all seemed to be a simple personal preference.

The meal consisted of a salad, plate with Turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce/jelly and broccoli. Pumpkin pie for dessert. The only choice was dressing; and no blue cheese. I had the ranch dressing and had them bring it on.

The initial plate was missing the stuffing; quickly remedied by my server. I'm not sure what was going on in the kitchen; another plate had stuffing but no cranberry stuff. I think they had one dude back there with a big spoon.

I'd give the meal a B. The turkey was fine, the stuffing was junk. Broccoli leaning towards raw (but edible). Decent Salad. When you were done all you had to do was do the card wave (like if you want another card at a blackjack table) and they'd bring you another plate.

It wasn't Mom's cooking and I missed her stuffing that she makes with mushrooms, but for $12.99 (and 2 for 1 Guinness to boot) I really can't complain. It's too bad they were closing promptly at 7pm; before the game would be over, as we couldn't hang out. At least there were no dishes to wash.
