Critic's Review
The first of many Tijuana Flats to close. They're just not that good and there's too much competition.
Gyroville should be next. Because you can't survive selling fake Gyros for very long.

A new Tijuana Flats has opened on E 17th Street. The corner storefront has been transformed into a bit of Mexico; it's not quite a cool as the Sunrise store, but it's the only Mexican place in the area open for lunch (unless you count Mo's). Inside, it's pretty festive, and they have their signature hot sauce bar.
I had the Dos Enchiladas this time. The food here is pretty good if not better than that. I don't like the chips; I use the Santana $2 chips I buy at Publix as the bar, and these aren't as good. All in all, a good value. Nothing to go crazy over; just another worthy place for a quick lunch on E17th street.
