With the Breaking Bad finale looming, I needed to get a pizza for the Big Watch. My first choice was The Garlic Knot, but they get $16.25 for an 18" pizza and Toppings get $14.99. Price does matter.
Their online ordering system doesn't work on an iPhone at all; the pop up windows are off screen and there's no way to scroll over to them. I called it in and the pizza was ready when I got there, about 25 minutes later.
A Tale of 2 Pizzas
I could blabber about how this pizza was much different than the last one I got here, but pictures tell the story better.
This is the pizza I got about 2 years ago.
Notice the difference? The previous pie was more wobbly; probably made by a better pizza maker. The recent pie had a pretty lame sprinkle of sausage. This is why restaurants lose business. They degrade their product over time, and they delude themselves into thinking that their customers don't notice. We DO notice, and we order from someplace else next time. If they actually charge you half price for a half topping it would be one thing, but they charge you 3/4 of the price and give you 1/3 of a topping. A place named "Toppings" should do better.
I had some hot italian sausage in the fridge so I cooked some up, sliced it thin and saved this pie. Hot sausage is very good on a pizza but very few places offer it.
It's one of the better pizzas in town, but they lose a star and a half for service, because this pizza is insulting.
