Critic's Review
What do you do when you have a wildly popular restaurant in Fort Lauderdale? Open one up in Boca of course.
This is a special occasion place. The decor is simple, yet elegant. They have a bustling valet service here. This location has a bar and lounge area. It's a much better layout than Fort Lauderdale.
I'm getting very close to calling Casa D'Angelo the most overrated restaurants in South Florida. They are nice places to have a meal or for a date. But the food isn't great to me. I mean it's not bad, but there's nothing special about it. I've had bad food at all of their restaurants, and I haven't eaten at any of them more than twice.
So 3 stars it is. In Fort Lauderdale, their place really stands out as there aren't a lot of "special occation" restaurants. In Boca, a place like this is a dime a dozen.
Food is okay at best. Sometimes its been really good and sometimes it sucked
Ft Lauderdale restaurant was a little ahead of the curve with Italian specialties that at the time were exotic but now you can buy everywhere, And what the heck is it with his expensive pizza joints. Nice Décor It make u0p and mascara-food is still mediocre.
