Critic's Review

This place looks bigger form the outside; it's really quite small. The smallish room has a bar that takes up a good part of the room, make it seem even smaller. There's no waiting area, so if you're meeting someone you'll have to meet outside or be seated before others arrive.

This "family-operated" venue has the feel as if you're eating in someone's home; and I can't say that I like it. It's like the whole family is sitting at the bar watching you while you eat. While the server tries to leave us alone while you go over the menu; she's not far away watching.

One good thing is that they serve the entire menu all day long, so if you want a Gyro or Lamb Chops you can get them for lunch or dinner. Entrees include a greek salad, which only seems right in a greek place. One entree caught my eye; a stuffed pepper and tomato stuffed with seasoned beef and rice. I ordered that, and they brought out some toasted pita with hummus for the table.

The salad came out first. It's a small salad; it wasn't too bad but there were no green peppers.

They brought out the entrees in a fairly short period of time. The peppers and tomato are charred nicely and capped. It wasn't clear what the white stuff on top was; it didn't taste like cheese and I suppose it was hummus. The ground beef filling wasn't particularly flavorful, and there was no sauce. The beans were the typical overdone greek beens; the potato wedge was sprinkled with oregano and didn't have any particular lemon flavor; the rice was pretty good with a light lemon flavor.

They have an extensive menu and moderate prices here; I can't say that what I had was great but it wasn't bad either. If you're looking for privacy this isn't your place; but for lunch its a bit different and pretty authentic.
