Critic's Review
I got a coupon for a free egg sandwich, so why not? This place is next to Target, where everyone goes once in a while.
It's not a very attractive space; short of stuck in between an entrance to the mall and the sidewalk. Their menu choices on the egg sandwiches are weak; turkey sausage and cheddar was the closest to something I'd want to have.. I suppose I could have gotten ham and cheddar but I didn't want to make waves with the coupon. I had to buy a drink to get it, so I got a regular coffee. You can get whatever bagel you want, although they charge you extra for some "premium" choices.
The coffee is self serve, which is good. No dark roast; just medium roast or flavored.
My memories of a delicious egg sandwich with flowing yolk were smashed at my first glance of this thing; Microwaved egg batter (likely from a carton) and not how enough to even melt the cheese. Turkey sausage can be ok, but this wasn't very tasty.
Why is this $5 normally? I used to pay under $5 for a 2 egg sandwich with coffee. There's nothing about this sandwich what would make me want to order it again. Even for free.
I think Einstein's is one of those chains that started out as a good idea and just turned into something really sad. Their advertising is downright comical: "Fluffy eggs...Top it off with the highest quality meats and cheeses". Really?
