With all the controversy with Chick-Fil-A last week, I wanted to see what all the hullabaloo was about. So on my way back from Seafood World, I thought I'd pick up a chicken sandwich.
The first thing I noticed is that this place is as much a fast food restaurant as any other. This one is even worse, they have one of those mini playgrounds with a slide and there's kids screaming and yelling. It's just a disaster.
I knew what I wanted, so why do the counter people have to keep interrupting me when I'm trying to tell them what I want? "I want a regular spicy chicken sandwich with a small waffle fries". "Do you want the meal? What's your name? Regular or Deluxe?
The place is crowded at 2:30pm, and it took a good 10 minutes to get my stuff. Out I go into the quiet.
The small waffle fries really is small; I got a grand total of 5 waffle fries. Frankly they're nothing special. There's no special seasoning on them. I don't see what the big deal is. The chicken sandwich is pretty big; I don't know why anyone would want the deluxe. And it's pretty spicy. It just has pickles; it's a tasty sandwich; you'll need water nearby. It's also 490 calories and 49 carbs. Not exactly health food.
Ok, so I went to Chick Fil A. Cross that off the bucket list.
