Critic's Review
You know its trouble when they have a nigerian guy making gyros, but you don't have a lot of eating choices downtown at lunchtime. I had a Gyro craving so for $4.99 I thought I'd give it a try. It was sweltering hot so I asked for it to go, tzatziki sauce on the side. The counter is tall so I couldn't see it before he wrapped it.
When I settled down to eat, I was almost afraid to open it. He has asked if I wanted "everything" and I had said yes. So when I opened it and saw 1/2 skinny tomato slice, a few scraps of lettuce and no onions, I was a bit surprised. The meat wasn't the kind that they slice from a spit; it was just lamb slices (I'm guessing lamb). Well, the pita looked Ok, so I opened the sauce. To my dismay, it wasn't Tzatziki sauce at all. It was loose, runny. Apparently they used regular yogurt instead of thickened yogurt, and not much else.
What a disaster.
