Don't make the mistake of going to this place for a late lunch; they'll be out of almost everything and the freshness you get early in the morning has past it's time. I went in a while back and got a boring plain bagel with garlic cream cheese; the cream cheese is pretty good but the bagel wasn't particularly fresh.
Today I was out early taking some pictures and I decided to grab a breakfast sandwich. My first thought was that I'd try the new EggWhite McMuffin, but then I decided on stopping at Einsteins.
The place is hopping at 9am; there aren't too many other breakfast spots around here.
I really miss the Delis on Long Island, where you can get 2 eggs with ham and cheese on a roll with coffee for $3.25. They have stuff other than bagels; cookies, big pigs in a blanket, but I came for a breakfast bagel.
An egg sandwich on a bagel is $4.89; over $5 with tax. I ordered ham and cheddar on a garlic bagel. You place your order, then go to the cashier and pay; and then sit down and wait. It takes quite a long time; they're making these in toaster ovens after all. Finally they bring my order and I'm out.
You're not getting they oozing fried eggs; these are hard fried, probably from a carton.
It was a good bagel. Maybe the garlic was too much for the egg. Fuel until my next meal if nothing else.
