I've said for 13 yrs that our building will get a bad reputation because of the poor management's communication with owners and the Realtor And Manager relationship and we do. A local plant store asked where I live and I said LOG. His comment "why do you people put up with "that" woman?" Holiday Fund I refuse to contribute because of her requiring she get a cut. I do envelopes instead. Since when do you TIP the restaurant manager as you leave? The board thinks they are elite and by far smarter than the owners DUH look at the decorating. It's a Seinfeld episode every day here with Condo Commandos at Boca del Vista,Phase III

The law specifically states that people with electric cars have to pay for the installation of their own charging stations, so what do the boneheads do here? They make everyone pay for it. Like we're not paying enough to live in this mausoleum!!!

Another 70s+ couple pays over market price for a south tower champagne. They were living in the Riverhouse, so they must know about the Edgewater building. Why overpay for a south tower unit before that is resolved in a few weeks?

I hear D'Angelo is offering wine and cheese while he tries to convince you that the value of your building will plummet if you don't spend your money fighting the Alexan Tarpon project. What's his motivation on this one?

Someone bought 506 already. Did they take a low offer, or did someone get snookered? The danger for these people is that as the North Tower and South Tower normalize in value, South Tower Ashleys will go down in price and North Tower will go up.

506 was purchased by the previous owner of 704, which was purchased by an LLC owned by John D'Angelo which is curiously misspelled on the deed.

Lower floor South Ashleys have a view of the pool from their living room. Maybe that's why the board spent so much on pool furniture? You'll never see that view in a listing. Seniors in bathing attire.

He's listed 506 at 1.475M and identical high floor ashleys are on the North side are going for 1.1? How did things get so out of whack? More importantly, why would someone pay $375K more for an identical unit on the other side of the building? The prison view is superior to the city view? Does D'Angelo tell them that the prison is on the other side of the river? 3604 is listed at 1.525M and it is one ugly looking unit. Hideous granite. Ugly wood floors. Ugly furniture.

506 isn't his listing. Other agents just go by comps, so they see D'Angelo's unit sold for 1.6M and they think any south Ashley is worth the same. My point is, that it's POSSIBLE to raise comps with artificially high sales.

Can you see the jail from the south tower? You have a view of the river and the nu river landing condos. And the Auto Nation building. And Hollywood, FL in the distance. At night you've got nothing. Notice they never show the living room view. Everyone in the building has the river view. The river view is only during the day. It's just murky darkness at night. The WebCam on this site is the east view that every unit in the building has.

Anyone looking should look at units in the dark, because most people are home at night more than they're home during the day. The night view sold me on the North Tower.

The all polished marble floors baffle me. I have unpolished limestone, so it's a bit more rugged. And I put a wood floor in my kitchen. if you cook, you'll drop stuff on the floor. You can't cook on marble. That's one of the big problems with this building. It's not set up for living. It's set up to show well for resale. People who.have never had marble floors before don't understand what a chore it is to maintain them.

It does not do any good to complain! My experience in reaching out to the board to discuss communication concerns is that I was yelled at and told that I was sadly wrong!

South Tower Ashleys must have gotten pummeled by the storm. I didn't think of that; storms from the south are going to rotate counter-clockwise so south-facing units will get the full fury of the wind.

Las Olas Grand shut off our AC making all the residents sweat to hell for 3 days. I spoke with 4 friends who are staying in neighboring condo's and they all have their AC on even the Sole Condo and Waverly Condo and Exchange Lofts. Is it true that Deangelo our puppet master does not even live here and just wishes to make real estate commissions off the uninformed dopes?

Totally agree, this place is so poorly managed it is unbelievable. My experience is that the manager thinks She owns the place and the owners should bow to her. Communication is extremely poor. Twice I have received calls to move my car because work was scheduled for the area that day. Guess what, she is the one that does the scheduling and she knew days in advance. Yep, Five days in advance per her own words. Absolutely no issue bothering me at work. I guess it was too much of an inconvenience for her to pick up the phone or send an email; essentially to do her Job! Best thing about the story is that she totally blamed her staff. NICE! But there is one thing that I know for certain, she will have her hand out for a holiday bonus!

I don't understand why there is very little communication between Management to the owners...Other Condos issues weekly reports to owners to update them on building issues...Everything done here is a big secret i guess thats the way King John wants it...

2 Email reminders to contribute to the Hollday Fund, but 0 reminders about the resident funded Holiday Party.

The "Holiday Fund", fyi, is a blind fund that we're supposed to contribute to so that the board can hand it out to employees. Not only do residents have no input on how the money is distributed, but we don't get to know how much anyone was given. This is all done by a board member who everyone knows is a moron who we wouldn't trust with anything, much less deciding how much of a tip someone should get.

Included in the list are our wildly overpaid concierge, who hasn't done jack shit for us in 10 years, and our overpaid puppet property manager. Yeah, lets give a tip to someone who we all can't stand who doesn't even invite us to our own parties.

Same thing this year. The only notice I have seen about the holiday party is small and on the concierge desk, yet we get direct mailing to contribute to the boards holiday fund!

I am a member of two other condo associations. They do not claim to be high end like the LOG but the amenities are better and the management and board are friendly and sincerely interested in a members concerns. I have been in these Association’s for ten plus years and my concerns have always been heard and welcome. NEVER has a board member yelled and insulted me like at the LOG. In my opinion there is nothing high end about the LOG. It definitely could get there but it will take significant changes.

Today we got a notice that we need to get U-verse installed by Oct 1 because Comcast will "No longer be the service provider for Cable or Internet". But wait, weren't we told that we could keep comcast if we wanted to? What about the 1/3 of the building who don't live here in the summer?

Who elects a realtor with a reputation like D'angelo's to run their condo? It's truly astounding - I know of no other major condo in SFL that allows a realtor/resident to be President - and have his own cronies on the board no less. Are these people being drugged by the water supply over there? It's about the only plausible explanation. Twilight zone stuff tho be sure.

Do other condos still issue coupons also? It seems so stupid. Who writes checks by hand and mails in a coupon anymore? Every bank has bill pay for free.
