Critic's Review

BurgerFi's are popping up everywhere; the franchise operation is saturating South Florida before lookalike operation Shake Shack can get down here. Shake Shack has opened in Boca Raton, but they're a slower moving object.

This location is owned by the same people who own the one across from the Galleria Mall.

This location is a mixed bag; it's the smallest location I've been to, and it's not very impressive at all. They don't have any big plank tables nor the meathook lighting. They just have big metal fans in a relatively smallish room.

It is right next to Costco, so there's a lot of nearby potential diners. I came here expecting to try their new "dry aged brisket" burger, but when I found out it was $10 I decided to pass. Looking at their old menu, it seems that it's probably the same as their "ultimate" cheeseburger, which they used to describe as "Prime". I'm not sure why you'd want to dry age brisket considered that it's slow cooked, but I'm not paying $10 for it. I haven't liked any of BurgerFi's other burgers so it was a low percentage bet. I felt like a hot dog, so I decided to see if they continued to do it wrong.

This place seems just as disorganized at the one on Sunrise; they gave me a beeper but it never went off. The shake came out by itself, and then the hot dog 5 minutes later. The guy in the kitchen grunted out something for each order that sounded about the same every time.

I decided to sit outside; they have the multicolored benches but they're composite instead of painted wood; very plasticky.

The hot dog was made in the same wrong way as others I've had here, so the problem is clearly bad training.

the tomatoes get stuffed into the side, and the cucumber (they don't even use a pickle, which is better) goes in the other side. Way too many onions, not enough mustard. I had to re-assemble it and it was fine; but for the price they charge I shouldn't have to do that. I'm sure that the owners have seen the criticism, so is it really too hard for them to hit Google and find out the right way? It just seems that they don't give a crap, which loses a star, at least.

The shake, another direct shake shack copy, had the same properties in that it wasn't sweet enough. But they still have straws that are too skinny; something I complained about days after they opened their first location.

A big criticism of BurgerFi is that they haven't gotten better since they opened. When you start a business, you make mistakes, and you make adjustments along the way. BurgerFi has the same issues that it had on Day 1.
