At 3:10pm, it was pretty crowded for a small place. Of course it was Friday afternoon.
They had all of the regular types of fish, at Whole Food Store prices. I really wanted to get some Cod for a recipe I wanted to try; they had some Boston Cod, which is actual code and not Pollock, but it didn't look good enough to pay their price for.
As you can see, there are no bargains at Pop's. I wouldn't pay $16/lb for Atlantic Salmon, would you? They call it "Ocean Raised", which is the new marketing term for Farm Raised.
I ended up buying a piece of Flounder, so that the trip wasn't a total waste of time. They have some pretty good flash frozen flounder at Whole Foods, but I thought I'd try the fresh.
