Critic's Review
Taco Tuesday so why do to a place with no special deal on Tuesday? Well they have taco tuesday prices every day (and I was in the area).
They're web site is set up as an order system, but they don't take online orders. Typical disorganized small business. I went in and ordered 2 tacos.
10 minutes later a guy comes out with a small container. "Red or Green Sauce". I don't really put sauce on my tacos. Why not just give me one of each? I asked for the green.
I went straight home and they were still warm.
Typical authentic looking tacos with enough meat to justify the $2.50 price tag. I ordered carne asada and al pastor tacos; the menu says the al pastor is shredded pork, which isn't what this is.
Looks like chicken; I don't even see chicken on the menu. Didn't really taste like much, so who knows what they gave me.
A good value, but nothing really good about them either.
Conclusion
While these tacos LOOKED authentic, they lacked the flavor of real Mexican tacos. A taco in Mexico is bursting with flavor; Americans don't seem to know how to season food. These couldn't have been more bland. I'm not going to salt a taco; but these were as bland as could be. In fact I could barely tell the difference between the steak and the chicken. And there's something fundamentally wrong with that.
