Critic's Review

I hadn't been to Bru's in a 3 years, which really surprised me. On a Sunday with the Ravens playing the Patriots, the place was filled mostly with Ravens fans. It didn't have the same feel as a Sunday Ticket Sunday, when fans from all over the country gather here to watch their teams.

The big change in the place is that they've ripped down all of the raised areas; they used to have a raised seating area in the middle and also along the southern wall. I'm not sure why they did it because it certainly didn't add any capacity. They lost some booths in the process; it seems like a negative to me.

I didn't hang around; I wanted to head home so I could catch the 2nd half of the game.

If you don't know about parking for Bru's, there's a lot in the back. It's kind of a mess but it's as close as you can get.

Bru's Room Delray Parking

Review 10/9/11

Every Bru's Room is a bit different, and this one certainly fits. It's a bit hard to find; it's nestled by the railroad tracks off of Atlantic, you need to head north on NE 2nd and then turn into a parking lot that has no sign indicating that Bru's Room is back there. But plenty of people seem to find it. Parking is tricky as well. There's a lot adjacent to the north entrance, but it goes Valet in the evening. So if you get there for a 1pm game you can park yourself; but after 4 or so they block of the lot and you have to valet. You can also park across the street in the old railroad parking lot; but the lot fills up quickly.

This is the place where you'll find the younger and crustier crowd; as opposed to the older, more relaxed crowd at Duffy's. This is where the 20-something girls hang out with the tattooed dudes; this is where some loud-mouth is likely to make some stupid comment as if you were back in New York.

It's a big room with several different areas. There's a bar in front along the wall and another small round bar in the rear. There are several large projection TVs and lots of TVs along the wall. Some of them are a bit small at a distance that you might not be able to see well without perfect eyesight.

The food at Bru's is the same at all locations. They have a full menu of strange offerings, but the main choice here should be the grilled wings.

I've had a bad batch now and then, but usually they're very good. The blue cheese is also good; but they don't give you enough of it.
