Finally, the place where nobody ever went has closed it's doors. The old Karma Lounge; Crazy 8s took over in 2006 with great expectations as the only sports bar in the area, but they never delivered anything of value to the neighborhood. It became a hangout for the backwards baseball cap crowd and wasn't much of an option. They failed to capitalize on the fact that they were walking distance from the 2 area hotels; it never became a destination for out of towners to catch their game.
The place didn't open until after most of the games started (after 8pm during the week. It was just a disaster. On their website they thank their patrons for 6 years in business; but they were open only a bit over 4 years. I guess time really drags when business sucks.
