Critic's Review
Daddy's Italian Cafe opened a while back in the space previously occupied by Zouba's. There's very little info on the place available, but with the Giants playing the 49ers I needed a pizza and I didn't feel like heading up to Boca.
Inside, Daddy's is nicer than expected. It's a small place, but they have nice tables and it almost doesn't feel like a pizzeria. I found a coupon online for a 2 topping pizza for $11.95, which is normally their price with no toppings, so I strayed from my usual. I ordered a half sausage, half meatball pizza.
I didn't tell them I had a coupon in advance, because I always wonder if they give you something different if they know you have a coupon in advance. They charged me for 2 toppings before they adjusted for the coupon, so I guess Daddy's is one of those places that give you a whole topping on half a pie. It was a pretty good pie; not a lot of cheese. The sauce was very sweet. The sausage was good but I don't think I'd order the meatballs again.
