Driving by the "Occupy Fort Lauderdale" demonstration brought some entertainment the other day; I won't tell you where "they" are because they don't matter at all; there are a handful of tents and a smattering of people hanging around. You can see one "protestor" catching some sun. All I could think of is "What a bunch of Losers".
In a town where our economy depends on people with high disposable income to "occupy" our restaurants and hotels and to buy the empty condos; and where most people who don't work in hospitality or real estate work in Banks, you have to wonder what they're thinking. What exactly are they complaining about; the big bad corporations? The corporation that owns and pays for the parking lot where they've pitched their tents? Do they know what happens to protestors in Communist countries, which seems to be what they want?
Go out and get a job, people. Smarten up. Cuba is just a short boat ride away if persistent poverty is what you seek.
