Critic's Review
If you're looking for authentic German sausages in Fort Lauderdale, this is the place. I went in the day before Easter to pick up some Kielbasa expecting to have to fight massive crowds, but there's not of that in South Florida. I used go to the Forest Pork Store on Long Island and you'd have to get there before 10am or they'd run out of the good stuff. A room filled with German speaking people. Here, there was one other customer at 10:30am on Saturday.
There's also no big rings stacked high or big sausages hanging from the ceiling. They just have a long display case.
They also don't have every sausage every conceived; just the favorites. Brats, Kielbasa and a few others. While you can get a sandwich here, this is a take-out deli. There are no tables or chairs. You don't come here for a chicken salad sandwich and cole slaw.
They only had the small guys; the 3.75oz regular sized kielbasa.
Good sausage, but it doesn't measure up the the big, fat rings that used to make my sister-in-law all frothy when I brought them for Easter dinner.
South Florida has it's limitations.
