Critic's Review
In a part of town where BMWs rarely travel, in the strip mall where Pizza & Brew appeared in a MILFHunter video, is Cielito Lindo Tres, in a nice little house nestled between ragged storefronts with cheap signs.
Inside the place is decorated like any of the other mexican places in the city; it's more comfortable than some; it's obviously been here quite awhile.
There's a small bar and the walls are lined with booths; the seats are a little hard, but the booths are still more comfortable than sitting at a table in the middle of the room. Chips are complimentary; iced tea comes with lemon and the have Splenda if you scout around for it.
The chips were very crisp; not warm but they seemed very freshly made. The salsas were pulverized; I liked the mild but not the hotter one. They have lunch specials for $8-9, but I wanted Chile Relleno; they call it a "specialty" and it's priced at $12. As usual service in these place is minimal; you order something and you wait. It came out very quickly.
The Pablano was a small one, but they gave me so much cheese and rice that it was a substantial meal. It wasn't clear that there was any sauce on the chile; it just seemed to be covered in cheese, and there wasn't much cheese inside.
But there was a boatload of cheese on the refried beans, so enough fat calories for the rest of the week.
Gooey good Mexican food. Nothing crazy, but a satisfying lunch.
