The only reason to stay at the Hampton Inn is if the Riverside Hotel is full. It's just far enough from the scene as to be an inconvenience. The Hampton Inn and the Riverside are the only choices Downtown.

The Riverside is a bit more expensive out of season, and about the same price in-season. If you're on a serious budget, its a $5 cab ride to the Las Olas nightlife.

Note that their web site is woefully out of date. Half of the places "nearby" that they've listed are out of business.
