Once in a while, I skip lunch and just have a shake. Ice cream drinks get a bad rap; they're not really that bad for you, as long as you don't have it with a cheeseburger and fries. By themselves, they're a nice treat. A 16oz Frappuccino is only 460 calories, or so they say. Perfectly acceptable as a lunch substitute.
I was shopping at Target and I noticed that they have a Java Chip Frap, and Starbuck's javachip ice cream is by far my favorite. So I got on line with all of the teenagers and ordered up a Grande.
I'd have to say I was disappointed. It's not made with the Java Chips that they use in the ice cream, and it's not nearly as sweet, or good, as the ice cream.
They call it "wonderously decadent", but this doesn't measure up to,say, Baskin Robbin's Mocha Blast. Stick with the regular Frap.
Note that this is an odd location. The servers are more Target than Starbucks, and the space isn't very comfortable. More like an airport starbucks than one of their nice freestanding spaces.
