Frank Cilione is bringing his E Hampton's act to sleepy E Commercial Blvd with an apparent niteclub, replacing the failed Kaos Ultra Lounge. According to 27East.com, Cilione was extradited from NY on grand theft and tax felony charges in 2009; He was the owner of Lily Pond in E Hampton and you can find all sorts of interesting stuff to read about him with a bit of Googling.

Astonishingly, this place still has a Restaurant-Only 4-COP (SRX), even though it doesn't meet the criteria for obtaining one. It's not a restaurant and it doesn't have 150 seats. Prima Facia evidence of either DBPR incompetence or DBPR corruption.

What difference does it make what kind of liquor license they have?

If I owned a bar nearby and I paid $150K for a liquor license I wouldn't want to have to compete with a place that paid a pittance in comparison. It's like if you're paying $12K a month in rent and the place down the road pays nothing; how are you supposed to compete with them?
