The Atlantic Hotel is back running the restaurant itself as a dispute with Society 8 (aka Avenue Management) has led to an ugly lawsuit and removal of the group (which also ran the failed Solita restaurants and the "bar in the park" snack bar also known as Park and Ocean).
The dispute arose when the hotel/condo purchased the restaurant from the previous owner, who contracted with Avenue Management to open and manage Beauty and The Feast. A bit over a year ago, the hotel re-acquired the restaurant and disputes arose over the arrangement. It appears that the hotel/condo no longer thinks they need to pay consultants 4% of gross per month plus 50% of profit.
This "restaurant" has hired the "chef" from Cabo Flats in Delray, David Honig; the chain Mexican concept that has closed it's original Palm Beach Gardens and Stuart locations. My guess is that the entire chain will fail similarly to Lime Fresh Mexican.
The menu is basic, predictable, boring and overpriced. They spell Margherita Pizza like the Margarita drink, which probably tells you all you need to know.
