Critic's Review
I had no intentions of getting anything from Fuzzy's today. But I saw the "National Taco Day Eve" sign and the $1 tacos. For a buck I'd try it out.
Fuzzy's attempts to create a bit of Mexico in this somewhat industrial area; with small tables and fort of a mix of take out and dine in. I didn't want to sit at one of these tables (or get table service), so I ordered 3 taco for $3. I felt a bit guilty so i also ordered an iced tea for the drive home.
Surprisingly, they had fresh lemons for the tea.
There's a full bar here; not a place I'd want to hang out and watch a game however.
It took a few minutes. Everything came in a brown paper bag. I thought about trying one here, but decided to head home instead.
I ordered a chicken, ground beef and a brisket. I guess they don't have a tag for Brisket. If you're ordering for an office the stickers probably come in handy so you don't have to open them up.
I tried the ground beef first. The first think I noticed was that the shells were already falling apart. Inside, mushy beef with unmelted cheese and the kind of lettuce and tomato you get at Taco Bell.
This taco was junk. At least taco bell tastes good. This was just mush.
The brisket was a small portion, with unmelted cheese and a mayo-like sauce, because everyone puts mayo on brisket.
Flavorless, chewy stuff on a bad shell. I tried some of the hot sauce that came in the packets, but it wasn't very good sauce.
Last but not least, the chicken taco. Shredded chicken, unmelted cheese and a mayo based sauce. The fact that the cheese was still in shredded form tell me that these were never hot. The chicken was "ok"; not as good as the Taco Bell soft chicken taco, which is one of the best things they have.
I'm glad I got the iced tea, because it was the best thing I got.
Conclusion
Fuzzy's may look like a restaurant, but this is fast food. For $1 I guess I can't complain, but $3 is too much for this junk. I can't think of a place you get worse tacos than this.
