Burger and Shake "joint" tucked in a little strip mall just across from the galleria mall. Its about as much a hole in the wall as can be. They have some small tables with chairs, an old tube TV in the corner, and a small counter area decorated with dollar bills. You order off a rather simple, partially hand-written menu and wait. Surprisingly, it doesn't all come together. They call out the shake long before the burger is ready, which is unexpected with a take out order. Finally, the burger is ready. The place smells good, like a backyard barbeque, so expectations are high.
The shake, which comes with an extra wide straw, is good; reminiscent of a time in my life when I could drink milk shakes. The burger however is disappointing. Its a thin meat patty, the kind that comes in a box, and it lacks taste. Its just bland. A skinny tomato slice, shredded lettuce, onions and cheese can't save it. Its just not very good.
