Critic's Review
Keese's is one of those places that everyone in the neighborhood knows about and nobody else does. It's a small place, with an open grill and a few tables. It's good enough to sit down and eat a sandwich or a burger, but not very comfortable for a group.
The menu has burgers and fried chicken, but Mediterranean is what you want here. I thought about having a burger to compare with BurgerFi across the street, but I really wanted a Gyro. It was ready in just a few minutes.
This is probably the neatest Gyro I've ever had. It wasn't bursting with stuff; it's a modest sized Gyro. All of the ingredients are very fresh and the tomato was very ripe. I usually ask for Tzatziki on the side, but I forgot this time. It was a very good Gyro. Its $7; you get a bigger one elsewhere for about the same price, but this is just enough.
